Pupil Premium

Staff at Holywell are committed to ensuring that all children achieve their potential.  We are all aware of the research showing disadvantaged children often fall behind their peers, achieving lower grades throughout their education.

This is known as the "attainment gap" and the purpose of the Pupil Premium is to "narrow the gap".

As a result of the evidence, the government introduced the Pupil Premium in April 2011.  Pupil Premium is paid directly to schools.

 Pupil Premium Funding

Did you know that if your child is registered under the Government Pupil Premium Scheme, the Government will allocated funding for Holywell School to use to help subsidise your child's learning support in school, free school meals, school trips and school residentials.
