Sports Premium

At Holywell Church of England, we use Sports Premium funding to improve the quality and range of physical education and sport for all pupils in our school. For parents, this means we aim to provide more opportunities for children to take part in enjoyable, structured activities that support health, fitness, and confidence.

Our focus includes enhancing teaching and learning in PE, offering a wider variety of sports and activities, and ensuring children develop fundamental movement skills. We also work to increase participation across the school, including opportunities for children who may be less confident in sport, so that everyone can be active and feel included.

We regularly review how funding is used and the impact it has on pupils. This includes monitoring engagement, skills development, and participation in sports activities, as well as evaluating how improvements benefit children over time. We are committed to using the Sports Premium responsibly to deliver positive outcomes for the children of Holywell Church of England.

Please see the documents below outlining how the funding has been spent at Holywell school.

As a school, we are extremely proud of our commitment to swimming, which is of particular importance to us being a school near the coast.  Please see the documents below for more detail in regard to performance in swimming over the past years, detailing how the school demonstrate commitment to Year 6 expectation to swim 25 metres.
